The Center of Expertise of Industry 4.0 was opened on the basis of the University
On September 24, Poltava State Agrarian University hosted a mini-conference “Digital Transformation of the Agricultural Industry” attended by representatives of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Poltava Regional Council, the University’s management, the Department of Information Systems and Technologies of PSAU, and the Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine.
During the event, the most pressing issues of smart specialization in the agricultural industry were discussed. They talked about the best experience of implementing digital technologies in the agricultural sector of the EU and Ukraine, as well as the prospects for the development of Poltava region in the context of digitalization of the agricultural industry, accelerating the digitalization of agricultural and agro-processing enterprises in Poltava region, which requires strengthening the role of clusters and the development of regional Industry 4.0 Expertise Centers.
During the conference, such a center was opened at Poltava State Agrarian University. Yuriy Utkin, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies at PGAU, told the audience about the functions, structure, and development directions of the Center 4.0 for 2022.
In addition, Poltava State Agrarian University, the Association of Automation Industry Enterprises of Ukraine, the Department of Agricultural Development of the Poltava Regional State Administration, and the Poltava Regional Council signed a memorandum of cooperation to join forces to accelerate the development of smart specialization in the region’s agricultural industry.
